Our programs and initiatives are designed to address the specific needs of the 2S-LGBTQ+ community in Northern Ontario. From informative workshops and advocacy initiatives to creative opportunities for community members to share their lived expertise, we provide a safe and nurturing space for people of all backgrounds to connect, learn, and thrive.
With a focus on networking, connecting, and capacity building, we strive to equip community members and allies with the tools they need to make Northern Ontario a more inclusive place for everyone.
Northern Ontario 2SLGBTQ+ Speaker’s Bureau
We are proud to host Northern Ontario's first 2SLGBTQ+ Speakers Bureau! Our bureau features a diverse group of passionate leaders dedicated to fostering inclusive and respectful communities. Through our network of community leaders we are able to connect you with a local speaker whose lived expertise and knowledge best suits your organization/event’s needs.
Please note that our speakers have flexible fees, and we offer discounts for educational institutions and non-profit organizations.

Board Training
At the Northern Ontario Pride Connection, we recognize the unique challenges faced by Pride organizations, often characterized by high turnover rates and a predominantly volunteer-driven structure. To address the knowledge gaps that can arise in these circumstances, we are proud to offer our comprehensive Board Training program.
Our Board Training program is specifically designed to equip Pride organizations and grassroots organizations with the essential skills and knowledge needed to establish effective governance practices, navigate funding opportunities, and enhance overall organizational performance. With a team of experienced professionals, we provide a supportive learning environment tailored to the unique needs of board members and leaders. We want to help take the guesswork out of governance so your team can get back to the other important work you do in your community.

Advocacy
Amplifying the Voices of the 2S-LGBTQ+ Community in Northern Ontario
At the Northern Ontario Pride Connection, we believe in the power of advocacy to create lasting change and ensure that the voices of the 2S-LGBTQ+ community are heard. Through our Advocacy Program, we leverage our years of experience in advocacy and lobbying, along with our extensive network of important decision makers and members of parliament, to serve as a unifying voice for the 2S-LGBTQ+ community in Northern Ontario.

Coming Fall 2023: Unveiling the Untold Stories of Queer History in Northern Ontario!
Join us on an inspiring journey through time as we launch our Queer History Podcast, dedicated to uncovering the rich stories of the 2S-LGBTQ+ community in Northern Ontario. While the histories of our vibrant and resilient community often remain untold, we are determined to bring them to the forefront.
Our Queer History Podcast will delve deep into the experiences, challenges, triumphs, and contributions of individuals who have witnessed the evolution of Pride in Northern Ontario. Through candid interviews, heartfelt conversations, and captivating storytelling, we aim to connect generations, foster understanding, and inspire future generations.
